‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 spoilers: Debates and more for Riley Matthews

Girl Meets World -You more than likely are aware that the next new episode of “Girl Meets World,” airing a week from Friday, is all about the much-anticipated wedding of Katy and Shawn. So what’s beyond that? While we cannot peer too far into the future, we can at least offer up some teases about the next two episodes coming up immediately around the bend.

In the wake of some of the larger storylines as of late, whether it be Lucas choosing Riley as the person he wants to be with romantically or the upcoming wedding, it appears that for the foreseeable future, we are going to see these characters settle into smaller, more traditional stories as the month of August goes on.

“Girl Meets Sassy Haltertop” (August 19) – Riley lands a debate assignment that proves itself to be extremely challenging. After all, she has to make a case for whether or not people are truly good or truly bad, and that’s something even the most advanced philosophers debate extensively.

“Girl Meets Bear” (August 26) – Riley wakes up to realize that her childhood teddy bear, fittingly named Barry the Bear, is missing. Therefore, she enlists her friends in a search to find him. We wonder if a certain part of this story will be about holding on to your childhood.

With the show’s fate beyond this season now uncertain, here’s to hoping that these episodes prove to be a rather entertaining diversion, and remind us of some of the best of this show. After all, sometimes standalone episodes (see “Girl Meets Bay Window”) can be especially wonderful.
