‘The Night Of’ episode 5 preview: ‘The Season of a Witch’ sends Box on a journey

We have made it now to the halfway point of HBO’s “The Night Of,” and we would certainly understand those of you wondering whether or not we were going to revisit some of the events that we saw in the premiere.

What we do know is that at least some of these could be coming on next week’s new episode entitled “The Season of a Witch.” While the network has not released many official details, the short synopsis that is out there suggests that we will see Box try to reconstruct some of the events on “the night of,” and figure out precisely where Nasir was, what he was doing, and who he was with both before and after Andrea’s death.

Will he find answers? It’s a good question, but a tricky one given how many people actually saw Naz over the course of the hour. For example, we know that he ran into the likes of a gas station employee and eventually some guys on the street, but given that nobody saw him after he was in that place with Andrea (at least per our knowledge as a viewer), it’s going to rather difficult for Box to fill in all the cracks.

What he really has to hope for at this point is that there is some opening, some possible witness who has not yet been uncovered. We know that John Stone has stumbled across a few threads over the course of the investigation, but whether or not Box is clued in on some of them remains to be seen.
