‘Mr. Robot’ season 2: Deciphering latest details
There is often something fun that comes with seeing a “Mr. Robot” episode synopsis, mostly because they are drastically different than almost any other ones out there. They are written in the style of a character on the show, and are often broken up and sometimes not always the easiest to really understand.
With that in mind, we wanted to present the two latest synopses as released by USA Network for discussion. There are some minor spoilers ahead, but only in the sense that this is what the network wanted to put out there.
Episode 2×05, “eps2.4_m4ster-s1ave.aes” (August 10) – “mr. robot attempts to show elliot that he can be useful. darlene and angelas plan doesnt go as expected.”
This one is actually pretty straightforward for something released by USA. The first sentence is actually a full thought — Elliot has been convinced that Mr. Robot is a plague upon him, and has done his part to vanquish his presence. In this episode, it feels as though he’ll try to convince him that he has a much greater use and purpose. As for Darlene and Angela’s plan, we cannot really say we’re shocking for it to go south given we’re still in the middle of the season.
Episode 2×06, “eps2.5_h4ndshake.sme” (August 17) – “happy 4th. mr. robot and elliot try to make nice. fsociety releases a holiday video in honor of uncle sam. fsociety FTW. darlene acts on a desire from long ago.”
Is fsociety really winning? This “FTW” statement is one of those that we have a relatively hard time believing just based on the relatively unreliability of the narrator. On another level, we’re excited for a 4th of July themed episode because so few shows due them thanks to bad timing.
