‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7 spoilers: Sasha Alexander directs ‘For Richer or Poorer’

With us in the final season of “Rizzoli & Isles,” this is not only a chance to say goodbye to some of these beloved characters, but also a chance to see some of the cast members try new things! Specifically, directing is a notable task that both Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander are taking on. Harmon just saw her directorial debut air on TNT, and Alexander’s is going to be coming up on August 15 with an episode entitled “For Richer or Poorer.”

So what’s going to happen over the course of it? Per a recent TNT synopsis (which was uncovered by SpoilerTV), we’ve learned that Jane and Maura are going to find themselves involved in a complicated Ponzi scheme, one that comes about after a forensic accountant is found dead in a park. This is a story that could have some ties to many characters’ past — especially Maura’s. Jane will discover that the #1 suspect in the case is someone tied to Maura, and have to make a decision about how to handle it.

Meanwhile, be prepared for Jane to make a very important decision of her own. We cannot say too much about it at present, at least other than that it will involve her career in some way. We figured that there would be questions about the futures of some of these characters before we got around to the end of the story, so this may just be the culmination of that.
