Yesterday, we saw “Hawaii Five-0” executive producer Peter M. Lenkov shoot down some rumors that the show was going to be ending after the seventh season, ones that were started randomly by Jimmy Buffett of all people. Now that this seems to be buried, we’re happy to move on to some more pleasant subjects of conversation: Looking ahead to the big 150th episode of the show later this season! Milestones are a big thing for any show, and for this one, it appears that resolving some McGarrett mythology is going to be at the top of the priority list.
Speaking on the subject to TVLine, Lenkov confirmed that Christine Lahti is going to be returning for this episode with the following comment:
“We’re going to bring McGarrett’s mom back to wrap up the mom/Wo Fat/father mythology, and then start some new storylines in the episode that follows.”
Lenkov also confirmed that Michelle Borth will be returning at some point in this episode as Catherine. Even though she is not a regular anymore, it is nice to see that the series is continuing to find ways to bring back characters here and there that fans want to see more of. After all, we definitely think that there is still quite a bit of story to tell for her on the series.
The seventh season is being filmed at present, so be sure to check back for more scoop on the upcoming season.
