‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: Sophia Bush on Lindsay, Halstead, and support
At the end of the third season of “Chicago PD,” the Erin Lindsay character found herself in a rather troubling position where someone she long thought of as a mentor turned out to lose his cool, and become someone he had long tried to avoid: A vigilante. She saw him bury someone responsible seemingly for the death of his son, and that is a hard thing for almost anyone to witness.
As a result of that Lindsay will need someone to rely on, and in comes Halstead as a source of emotional support. Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, Sophia Bush teased what is coming up ahead for the couple with the following:
“Jay is really the one person that she has in her world that she can trust who is safe. That finale moment with Voight is a reminder that while Voight has been a stabilizing factor in her life, at this moment he is not stable, he’s not a person who is going to bring any safety in her world. Jay has her back. Jay also is such a good guy and such a good cop; she really needs that right now. It’s no small thing for her to have him to fall back on. Now, is she going to tell him everything? No, I don’t think so. But she certainly appreciates his presence and support.”
Eventually, we think that she could tell him everything, but these things sometimes do take time. The big priority for now in the immediate future may just be trying to figure out where she stands personally with Voight, and following that she may determine that it is time to assess everything and everyone else in her life.
