‘UnREAL’ season 2 spoilers: Will ‘Everlasting’ have a winner?
On the first season of “UnREAL,” we saw one of the craziest stunts possible in a wedding episode that went completely south before Adam Cromwell could tie the knot. As a result of that, it was easy to infer that this was not a show meant to emphasize a happy ending of any variety.
However, maybe that could change moving into the season 2 finale — at least to a certain extent. Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, star Shiri Appleby does confirm that there is a winner this season, and it is not someone you would necessarily expect.
As for the character of Rachel and what could be coming up for her in the wake of her recent treatment, Appleby makes it clear that work will be the immediate priority as she looks to get some things back on track:
“She’s making a comeback … She really wants to put her personal drama aside and focus on work. I think it’s much easier to focus on work than to deal with your own issues.”
Just how much will Rachel be able to focus? That is an especially big question when you consider some of the various roadblocks in her way, which include Coleman in many ways now being transfixed on watching “Everlasting” burn. With the help of secret journalist Yael, he has the information he needs to really expose all of the secret inner workings of the franchise, including some things that would absolutely take the show down. What happened to Mary on the first season in particular is something that could lead to a collapse.
