‘Outcast’ episode 8 video: The Reverend’s reaction

On this past episode of “Outcast,” we saw the Reverend Anderson do what he could to exorcise another very specific demon from his life: Sidney. Ultimately, he has a pretty good motivation to go after him when you consider his history.

In the sneak peek below, you can see the Reverend pay a visit to Kyle, and in the process, you’ll get a further since of the emotional aftermath to everything that the two have conquered. While he does not say it in every word, you can see it on Kyle’s face how he is recovering from Allison’s decision and his sudden predicament. It’s a struggle, and yet another reminder of what happened.

Meanwhile, Kyle offers up some commentary on Anderson’s past presentation, which is something that he made certain the whole town witnessed in one form or another. It was a big play in what is probably a series of big plays that are going to be coming up. So long as he remains convinced that the character is the devil, these issues are not going to be going away. As a matter of fact, they could only escalate as Sidney uses more of his own manipulative power.

We’re at the point in this season now where “Outcast” is incredibly deep and complex; one of the things that they have done an exceptionally great job at is keeping the cast relatively small, mostly so that there is time and opportunity to examine every individual story and wonder what could be coming up around the corner.
