Is there is one thing that we have come to know very well over time about “Dancing with the Stars,” it is this: They love casting people from “The Bachelor” franchise. However, the majority of them have been med. Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, and Chris Soules are all recent examples, and at one point there was at least talk that Juan Pablo Galavis may have been considered.
Sure, the show did lead to Melissa Rycroft being cast, but the last time they had a former “Bachelorette” on was all the way back in the first season when Trista Sutter was around … and she did not do well. Could that change with JoJo Fletcher? There’s no guarantee of anything at present, but we do think it is a possibility.
Speaking in a new interview with Glamour, JoJo at least made it clear that stepping into the ballroom is something that she would heavily consider, provided of course that she is asked in the first place:
“I got a chance to go to one of the live shows last season, and I was blown away with how unbelievable that show was. I think that if the opportunity came up, I would think about it because it seems like one of the coolest, most challenging things you could do. I would definitely consider it.”
Personally, we’d be fine with this. If we are going to get some reality stars in the ballroom, we would personally much prefer them to be people who we have heard from recently as opposed to people on less-popular shows or people who have not been relevant in an extremely long time.
The full cast for season 23 should be announced later this summer.
