‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 18: Vice-President Joe Biden to appear
The upcoming season of “Law & Order: SVU” is about to get that much more Presidential … or at least Vice-Presidential.
Sources confirm that Vice-President Joe Biden will make a brief appearance on the upcoming eighteenth season of the show, and will be playing a person who should be very familiar with at this point: Himself. His appearance will be filmed on Friday, and should be a part of a segment that is all about some of the causes he is fighting for. He has long been a champion of the cause to end domestic violence, and has worked in the past with series star Mariska Hargitay and the Joyful Heart Foundation. If there ever was a perfect person to be a part of this show, it would be Vice-President Biden.
Mere months ago, Hargitay even presented Biden an award on behalf of her foundation. We had no idea that a collaboration on “SVU” could happen out of that, but we are certainly happy that it did. New episodes will be coming in a matter of months, and with new showrunner Rick Eid at the helm we imagine that there are going to be a few different stories and ideas thrown out there. We’re certainly looking forward to that, just as we are looking forward to seeing if there are any other new or memorable guest stars who show up in the process.
One way or another, we just hope that the show continues to put forth its messages, and celebrate the heroes who help on this show to stop so many horrendous characters from inconceivable acts.
