If you were to think that there was a new episode of “Bones” airing on Fox Thursday night, we’d certainly understand. After all, just consider the history for a moment here. After all, four of the past ten seasons have run for at least 23 episodes, and season 4 actually had a whopping 26 in the order! We don’t know how the cast wasn’t falling over of exhaustion by the time they got around to the end of that.
Well, the unfortunate news we have for you now is that much like season 10, season 11 only had 22 episodes, and therefore last week was the finale, in the event that you did not know that already.
We do understand that this is a pretty terrible way to go on hiatus for many fans, given the big reveal that Zack is back … but not knowing at the same time whether or not he is the Puppeteer, the villain who Brennan was so fearful of through much of the finale. Obviously, there is a part of our brain that is fearing the worst of him. Yet, at the same time, we want to think that there is something more to this story, especially since they’ve already given us a darker turn for Zack before over the course of the series’ run.
The worst news that we have to tell you, in the event you haven’t heard about it already, is that the 12th season is not going to air until at some point in the new year. From there, the 12-episode final season will officially begin.
