‘The Walking Dead’ season 7: Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the havoc of Negan

Negan -

It should come as no surprise to pretty much anyone that Negan will have a hugely-important role on “The Walking Dead” season 7, given the fact that he killed someone at the end of season 6, and that he remains one of the most-feared characters in the entire Robert Kirkman comic series.

So with all of this mind mind, you better be ready for an insanely-violent series of events brought on by this character throughout the opening episodes of the season. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly as a part of its newest cover story, Jeffrey Dean Morgan definitely makes it clear that whoever dies at the start of season 7 is not going to be the only character saying goodbye:

“What you’re going to see in the first half of this season is Negan wreaking havoc. And some of your characters that you’ve grown to love are not going to be on the show anymore, and it’s going to end badly for them. It’s going to be a whole new beginning for The Walking Dead. Really, we’ve taken the show and just flipped it upside down. It’s a different show now. It’s going to have a different feeling. You’re going to see your favorite characters in a position that they’ve never been in before, which is super vulnerable and victimized.”

Sure, Negan and his famed bat Lucille are going to be dangerous components of the universe on their own, but more so than Negan’s physical presence, his charisma will be a danger to Rick Grimes and the other survivors. He is able to get people to follow him blindly, and do things that they potentially would be better off not doing. It’s a crazy amount of power that he wields, and it is something that really should make almost everyone on the show afraid in one way or another.
