‘NCIS: New Orleans’ season 3: Zoe McLellan departing
We’re a mere matter of months away from the season 3 premiere of “NCIS: New Orleans,” and we are now hearing about an original cast member who will not be returning to the series.
So who will this cast member be? Per a report from TVLine, it will be Zoe McLellan, who had been a part of the show from the beginning in the role of Special Agent Meredith “Merri” Brody. The reason for her exit is a creative one sparked by events of the season 2 finale. It is a choice that could make some sense in terms of the narrative, but it’s still sad. You watch these shows for the chemistry, and with that, you don’t really want to see anyone go.
In some ways, we really should be accustomed to the idea of changes within the “NCIS” franchise, given all of the shakeups over on “NCIS” proper with Wilmer Valderrama, Jennifer Esposito, and Duane Henry all set to be regulars on the new season. Yet, “New Orleans” had been fairly steady so far, and the same goes for the one set over in Los Angeles, even though that one has been on the air for a long time.
We have already reported that Vanessa Ferlito of “Graceland” fame will be a new series regular, and her FBI agent could be coming around as a result of everything that happened at the end of last season. She will be rather curious as to whether or not this particular office is being taken care of the right way.
