‘Vikings’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Haven’ actor signs up (even though season 4 is still airing)

“Vikings” is certainly in a rather-interesting situation at present. There are still ten more episodes to go of its current fourth season on History, but at the same time, the show has already been renewed for a season 5. This means that the show can really start to look ahead a little bit, and their latest casting is some further proof of that very thing.

Per a report from Deadline, Adam Copeland of “Haven” fame is going to be recurring in the role of Ketill Flatnose, a tough, powerful warrior personally chosen by Floki to head up a new colony in Iceland. This hardly tells us much about the story of the fifth season, beyond of course the presence of Floki in it (which we are sure that everyone can appreciate since he’s a fan favorite).

When season 4 does pick up later this year, we’ll get a chance to see the full extent of the massive time jump that took place, with Ragnar’s children all grown up and with him in a rather interesting position now. We’re admittedly somewhat worried about him going into the season, just because it is a new world in many ways and the whole pit-of-vipers thing has been strongly teased at Comic Con this year. In some shape or form, everyone could be in danger … and we’re not relying on history as a guide since this is still a TV show and they may want to veer off of history a bit.

Given that we’re starting to get season 5 scoop for “Vikings” already, odds are that there will be plenty more where this comes from! Be sure to stay on the lookout; we’ll have some other insight the moment that it arrives to us, so be sure to bookmark us.
