‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8: Eric Christian Olsen on possible Kensi – Deeks engagement

The eighth season of “NCIS: Los Angeles” is a mere matter of months away, and rest assured that there is a lot to look forward to … especially when it comes to an engagement.

In speaking about this matter to TVLine while at San Diego Comic-Con, it was basically confirmed by Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah that said moment is coming for Deeks and Kensi after more than a season’s worth of dating. Specifically, Olsen suggested that it would not be a “traditional” sort of engagement, saying that “this is probably the craziest season for these two characters that we’ve ever done.”

Specifically, Ruah also mentioned that she was especially happy with how the writers chose to handle her story this time around given her real-life pregnancy, much as she appreciated the way that they handled it the first time around. Hopefully, this is something that we’re going to get some further insight on in the weeks ahead, but for now this appears to be the part of the story that the writers are more invested keeping secret.

So long as there is some romance in the proposal, and the two get married at some point before the end of the series, we’re going to be happy. The show has to continue to walk that fine line in between giving us relationship revelations and showing us other key parts and wrinkles in the story, given that they do have to cater to as many different audiences as possible. Not everyone watches for the relationships, but for some, that is a primary reason why they tune in. It’s complicated: Let’s just put it that way.
