‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7, episode 8 video: Preparing for 100th episode

The 100th episode of “Rizzoli & Isles” has been set up and teased in some form for weeks. Now, it’s finally here on Monday night!

The promo below is your first look at what to expect in video form; for now, what we can say is that this feels much more dangerous than we were originally expecting it to be. Going in, our preconceived notion was that we’d see a story with Jane going undercover in prison that was a source for potential comedy, given that this was what we had on some other shows with similar storylines such as “Monk.”

Yet, here it does look like we are taking a serious and dangerous turn for Angie Harmon’s Jane, as someone could quickly decide behind bars that it’s time for her to get shanked. Some are not particularly big fans of her decision in the first place, and will try to fight her on it. Given that we’ve known Jane to be stubborn, and this is the 100th episode and is in some ways a microcosm of the entire series, we’re not exactly all that stunned she is sticking to her guns. If she were to reverse course now, that’d be the bigger surprise.

In the process of being behind bars, let’s hope that Jane solves the case, gets out, and then we got a little bit of peace. It’s probably going to be short-lived, given the fact that there are only a few more episodes left of the series as a whole.
