The seventh season of “Hawaii Five-0” is in the process of filming, and as per usual, there will be some new people taking part in the story. For the sake of this article, we are talking specifically about Claire Forlani of “Meet Joe Black” fame.
According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, Forlani is going to be playing a character named Alicia on the CBS series, someone who could be rather valuable to McGarrett in terms of tracking down a serial killer. There’s not too much known about this adversary at present, but since we are talking about a recurring role here, odds are that we’re going to be seeing her for quite some time.
In a statement confirming the news to the aforementioned website, executive producer Peter M. Lenkov had the following message to pass along:
“Alicia and McGarrett have a profound respect for each other and what they have accomplished professionally … Her insight and expertise as a profiler will be paramount for Five-0 to track down this killer menacing the Island for those who visit and those who call it their home.”
We’re glad to have Claire on board the story, but in the end, we do feel like most of the impetus as to whether or not this particular story is successful is going to lie in what we see from the serial-killer character here. Every show needs a worthy adversary, and this is one that has had many over the course of its run so far (with Wo Fat easily topping the list).
