‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ preview: A possible return to form?

Tonight, there is a new episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airing on Bravo, and it definitely looks as though this one’s going to get crazy. Specifically, we have some video evidence that Melissa Gorga may have had a little too much to drink while the cameras were around.

In the new sneak peek, you can see some hijinks unfold after a day out, ones that include Melissa complaining about Teresa Giudice’s driving, her giving herself an interesting new nickname, and her talking about a few things that we never quite expected to hear her discussing while in front of the cameras.

So why point out the significance of what appears superficially to just be a rather silly sneak peek? Ultimately, we just see this as evidence that the show is getting back in the saddle of what it used to do best: Mixing humor with drama and watching everything unfold as a result of that. In general, we feel like the series has been heading in a very serious and at times depressing direction in between major family strife and some of Teresa’s apparent legal troubles. (To be fair, it’s not exactly like these were issues that the show could completely distance itself from either thanks to what we know about it at the moment.)
