‘Murder in the First’ season 3, episode 5 video: Previewing ‘Follow the Money’

Coming up tonight on TNT’s “Murder in the First,” the Normandy Parker case is going to continue to evolve in surprising ways. Also, the following question is going to be asked: How much money is at stake within the world of professional athletes?

The revelation of a massive insurance policy out on Parker is a game-changer for the case, given that it comes at a time in which there were not as many loose ends in the case. When one trial fades, you double back and go down another path. This is what Terry and Hildy will be doing next, as they try to figure out precisely what is going on that could have caused his dramatic murder.

Also, could one of Terry’s previous theories be proven correct? It’s at least something that will be examined further as all leads continue to be chased.

On a personal level, be prepared to see this episode explore more of the fallout from Terry and Hildy’s brief relationship fracturing on this past episode, one where they were not really given much of a choice if they want to continue doing the work in the way in which they are accustomed to. Hildy in particular may do her part to move on; whether or not she is successful in this pursuit is something that you will have to figure out when the episode airs.

Finally, the last tease that we can offer for now is that Siletti’s situation is going to somehow worsen, which is hard to imagine since it feels like the character has been metaphorically circling the drain almost since the start of the season.
