‘Blindspot’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Agents of SHIELD’ alum Luke Mitchell signs up as regular
It didn’t take long for Luke Mitchell to land another role on primetime TV.
Fresh off of playing the Inhuman Lincoln on the third season of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” we have now learned that the actor will be a series regular on the upcoming second season of NBC’s “Blindspot.” There is no precise word as to the name of his character, but he will be a part of that super-secret organization responsible for having Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) arrive at the fett of the FBI.
Not only that, but Mitchell is not going to be the only addition to the show. We’ve also learned that Michelle Hurd of “Daredevil” and “Devious Maids” fame is also going to be a regular, though there is the same sort of mystery surrounding her role at present.
The second season of “Blindspot” is facing a variety of different challenges. For one, they have to keep the intensity level as high as it was during what was an exceptional first season on the air in terms of ratings and audience response. From there, they also have to figure out how to continue to keeping the Jane mystery fresh, and at least grounded in some sort of reality that makes sense. There are some answers coming early in season 2, but how many remains to be seen.
Finally, there is a new challenge for the show coming in the form of a new night and time; we’ll see how it fares there!
