‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: HBO releases ‘In Production’ teaser (video)

LogoThe seventh season of “Game of Thrones” may not be coming until next summer, but at least HBO was kind enough to present us with something leading into the lengthy wait.

The new video below was released in conjunction with the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which was, in typical show fashion, much more about looking at the past than the future. With that being said, there are a few super-tiny teases in this video, whether it be the presence of certain flags, possible locations, or a particularly awe-inspiring line from Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion in the closing minutes. Is that confirmation that Dany will be in Westeros in the early going? We certainly hope so, even if we do think it is possible that there is a small pit stop in Dorne at some point along the way.

If you have not heard it to date, the reason for the delay is mostly because of the show wanting to really show the impact of winter upon Westeros. In starting later in the year and also taking advantage of some colder locations (the show is returning to Iceland), there are going to be opportunities to pull this off. There are only seven episodes in the new season, but in order to ensure that they are as strong as humanly possible, it is still going to take a rather extreme amount of time to get to where we need to.

Rest assured that as soon as there are some more specifics out there about season 7, we will have them for you here!
