‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2: Reverse-Flash, Damian Darhk to make up Legion of Doom!

The second season of “Legends of Tomorrow” held court at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, and there were some rather exciting announcements made … especially in terms of villains.

The series announced that not only are we going to see the return of Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, but that he, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher, who will be a series regular), and Damian Darhk (Neal McDonough) are going to comprise the Legion of Doom. While it’s not entirely certain they will be the Big Bads of the season, right now we are definitely thinking of things that way.

There are a few separate things we worry about with this news. While in theory it seems like a great decision to bring so many iconic villains onto a show at the single time, is there going to be enough for everyone? Also, we wonder about the logic in all of this given that Darhk and the Reverse-Flash are both seemingly dead in the present. It’s also interesting to see Cold as a part of this group given that his partner Mick Rory a.k.a. Heat Wave is seemingly one of the Legends.

There’s not a whole lot of this that necessarily makes sense at present, but we’ll see what happens as we get a little bit further down the road. We definitely are excited to see if the show can bring forward some of the promise that it had going into the first season.
