‘Bones’ season 11 finale: Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz react to Donald Trump speech snafu

Bones -There was a great reason for longtime fans of “Bones” to be excited about the finale airing on Fox Thursday night … but unfortunately, viewers across the West Coast received the shaft in terms of watching the episode in full.

As the Republican National Convention went on, it became very clear that Donald Trump was going to be running over. With that, it made sense to merely start the finale “The Nightmare in the Nightmare” a little later, or simply start it from the beginning and push everything back.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, which in turn led many longtime fans of the show to be furious over missing the entire foundation to one of the biggest episodes of the season and even the series. Sure, some people out there had a chance to see the Zack Addy twist at the very end, but it was without much in the way of context.

As you can see below, series stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, who also directed the episode, were none too pleased about what happened. You can see their reactions via social media below, and we certainly feel their pain since they put so much work into making this one of the coolest episodes in some time.

For those of you who missed the full episode, you can catch it online over at this link. However, we’re sure that it doesn’t make up for many of you the experience of being able to actually watch the entire hour in full last night.

Update: Fox has confirmed they will re-air the episode, saying the following in a statement:

“Due to an over-run in coverage of the Republican National Convention, a portion of last night’s season finale of Bones was pre-empted on the West Coast … We will re-air the finale next Friday, July 29, at 8/7c. The episode also is currently available on FOX.com, FOX NOW app, Hulu and FOX on Demand. We apologize to our viewers for this inconvenience.”
