‘Zoo’ season 2 spoilers: James Wolk on Jackson’s state following Chloe shocker

Zoo -

The second season of “Zoo” has been thoroughly intense so far, and on this past episode, it’s fair to say that the writers took things to another level. Killing off Chloe is certainly not something we expected from the show, especially so early in the season when there is a lot of drama still left to unfold. Yet, that is probably why the writers chose to do it at this time. It is a way to keep viewers on their toes, and it unifies the group in a way that they have not been to date. All in all, there should be some rather great stuff coming!

In previewing specifically how all of this could end up impacting Jackson, James Wold handed down the following tease in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly while at San Diego Comic-Con:

“Jackson is pretty broken up by Chloe’s death. It sends him on a journey throughout the show. He’s basically trying with ever more gusto to figure out what’s happening, to try to kind of avenge her death.”

Of course, for Jackson one of his biggest challenges is going to go beyond just dealing with her death; he also has to try and handle the triple-helix mutation, which is something that the rest of the team members will be helping him through over the course of the coming episodes. He could end up being the key to unlocking many secrets and turning humanity’s fate around … or at least that is the hope. As we’ve learned many times over with this show, there is always a chance that things could go awry in unexpected ways.
