‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Meet the Count of Monte Cristo
We knew that the Land of Untold Stories was going to be a way for “Once Upon a Time” to introduce a wide array of different characters into the mix, and apparently, one of them
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Craig Horner of “Legend of the Seeker” fame has been cast for the upcoming sixth season of the show as the famed Count of Monte Cristo. Unfortunately, there is not a whole lot of information out there at present in terms of how his story will play out over the course of the upcoming episodes, but we are still very much interested in watching all of this unfold.
Ultimately, we figure that this will not be a story of forgiveness — and we say that as a clear nod to the opening of “Revenge,” the ABC show that followed “Once Upon a Time” on Sundays for a while and was loosely based on the Alexandre Dumas classic. We also wonder if the show is going to consider doing more with the Three Musketeers moving forward; after all, if you are getting one Dumas work in here, why not add another to the mix in order to stir up the pot a little bit more?
The show will be introducing an array of new characters throughout the first part of the season, but at the same time, you’ll also see some returning faces. Both Archie / Jiminy Cricket and Ashley / Cinderella are going to be appearing on the show for the first time in a while in the early part of the season.
