‘Scorpion’ season 3: Katharine McPhee on what’s next for Walter, Paige (Comic-Con 2016)

The “Scorpion” panel was held at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, and we know that there is one question on the mind of collective Walter / Paige ‘shippers: What’s going to be coming up for the two of them? At the end of season 2, we saw Walter finally realize that he needs to confront her about some of his feelings, which led in turn to him making a trip up to Tahoe. We didn’t see his reaction, but our feeling was certainly that she would have an interesting one.

Well, we’ve now got a little more information as to how she could be processing this. Per Entertainment Weekly, McPhee had the following to say to people in attendance at the panel:

“Her feelings are always there, but she’s had to put them aside because she’s accepted that Walter isn’t capable of loving her in the way she deserves and the way she wants him to … Her feelings have become dormant. They’re always there, but she has a child and needs to move on with her life. Season 3, Walter definitely comes to Tahoe. It’s definitely going to be an interesting interaction when Walter shows up. It’s definitely a shock.”

We still imagine that it is going to be somewhat of a journey to get from where Walter shows up to the two of them presumably having a relationship, mostly because she’s technically heading up there with Tim Armstrong and it’d be very awkward to see her dump him on the spot. We’ll see what happens over the coming months, but obviously we want to see what this relationship looks like and how it could impact the team.
