‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Jessy Schram returning as Cinderella

Ready to see a touch of season 1 back on “Once Upon a Time” this season? We’ve got some news that compliments the return of Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket rather nicely.

According to TVLine, Jessy Schram is going to be returning to the ABC drama during the third episode as Cinderella a.k.a. Ashley, who we last saw briefly during the fourth season of the show. Before that she had been absent from the series for a long time, to the point where we wondered if the series was making a mistake given the character’s clear presence in Disney lore. This episode will also give us a chance to see more of the dynamic between Cinderella and Snow White, which was first teased many years ago.

We’d certainly be thrilled to see a whole lot more of Schram on the series moving forward, even if we’re not altogether sure precisely how much of her we will see. For the most part, we’re just happy that the show is really looking more towards its history this season rather than abandoning it. Also, these castings are a nice parallel to what the new season is doing in terms of structure, given that we’re adopting more of a season 1-2 format and having a season-long arc rather than things broken up into halves as we have seen the past three years.
