‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ episode 5 preview: Back to Canada, off to Haida Gwaii

“The Amazing Race Canada” may be some ways at a disadvantage in that a certain percentage of the race every season is held in its home country; yet, at the same time, it also offers up some opportunities to visit places that everyday Canadians may not even be that familiar with … let alone people watching all over the world. Haida Gwaii is one of these said places. It is off the coast of British Columbia, and it’s a chance to see a very different sort of way of life.

Based on the promo that we saw following Tuesday night’s new episode, this should be exciting for some of the remaining teams; yet, at the same exact time, we imagine that there is going to be some trouble that many of them have with the very outdoorsy tasks. The physical nature of some of these could benefit people like Jillian & Emmett, who finished this past leg near the bottom, while it hurts a team like Kelly & Kate, who are coming off of a first-place victory.

Ultimately, though, part of the excitement of where we are right now is that there is not one of the remaining seven teams who we think is completely dominant over every other one in the show. Right now we do think that Steph & Kristen and Frankie & Amy are safe for at least one more week thanks to their Express Passes, provided of course that they don’t do something ridiculous and bungle them away.
