‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Rusty’s biological mother returns in ‘Tourist Trap’
Monday night’s new episode of “Major Crimes” gave you a deep personal story when it comes to Julio Sanchez, and that follows the recent show tradition of finding unique ways to tell character stories this season. It feels like with every episode, we’re getting a chance to see the story of someone different play out.
So where is the story going on next week’s installment? Well, we can tell you that at least one part of “Tourist Trap” revolves around the return of Rusty’s biological mother, who had some really intense scenes with him earlier this season after she revealed that he was pregnant. The two did not end on the best of terms, and this is a chance to try and make peace and get a little bit more on the same page.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis below also gives you a good sense as to what the case of the week is going to be, which is important since this is, after all, a mystery show meant to do these sort of things on a weekly basis:
“When a pair of British tourists get attacked on their second honeymoon during a Venice Beach robbery, L.A.’s twenty billion dollar tourist industry is threatened by an English journalist riding their tragedy to a career high. Meanwhile, Rusty’s biological mother tries to make peace with him over her pregnancy.”
As we get further and further along during the show’s summer run, we’re sure that we will get some resolution for at least some things. Whether or not Rusty’s mother is one of them remains to be seen.
