‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7, episode 8 preview: The 100th episode!
This is the final season of “Rizzoli & Isles,” and it also happens to be one with some other milestones to boot! We’ve already seen the show resolve the story of Alice Sands, and next week we’re celebrating 100 episodes on the air with one that could have a series “Orange is the New Black” vibe to it … at least in terms of Jane going behind bars.
This installment is being written by showrunner Jan Nash, and that should tell you a thing or two about its importance. Typically, showrunners only tend to write certain big episodes personally, given that there is only so much time available to them. The title here is “2M7258-100,” and you can see the official synopsis below:
“In the series’ 100th episode, Jane goes undercover in a county jail to draw out the killer of a brutal murder.”
Our hope for this episode is mostly that we get a proper tribute to all things related to the show, and that starts with Jane / Maura before moving forward to some of the supporting characters. More so than just characters, though, we also hope that this episode is reflective of some of the overall themes of the series, and they include friendship and support for one another. It’s about getting the job done, but at the same time partnership and making memories that will last a long time. There’s a reason why so many people have come to love this show over the years; they relate to the characters, and want to root for them to get everything that they want.
