TV Quick Hits: ‘Grimm’ season 6, ‘Blindspot’ season 2 posters; Ron Funches on ‘Powerless’; ‘Shooter’ pushed
USA delays “Shooter” again – There is a clear difference between fiction and reality, but sometimes circumstances make it a little hard to differentiate the two. Circumstances have not been kind in particular to the upcoming USA action series “Shooter,” which has now been officially delayed until this fall. The statement from the network confirms this in the wake of more tragic shootings over the course of the past week:
“After further consideration, USA Network, Paramount TV and Universal Cable Productions have decided to move the premiere of Shooter to the fall.”
The series, which is based partly on the Mark Wahlberg movie of the same name, was previously delayed for a week following the shootings in Dallas. We do hope that there is a time in which the show can air, largely in that it means that there will be less actual violence going on in the world.
Here are a few other stories coming out from this afternoon…
Ron Funches joins “Powerless” – As if we weren’t excited enough for the upcoming NBC comedy about normal people living in a superhero world, we know now that Ron Funches is also on board! Per Entertainment Weekly, the former “Undateable” star (and also one of our favorite comedians working today) will play Ron, an IT specialist at the insurance company at the center of the series. Apparently, he still has not list his spirit of excitement around superheroes.
