‘The Blacklist’ season 4: Will filming be underway soon?
“The Blacklist” is a show there’s great anticipation for leading into the fourth season, and there’s a good reason. After all, don’t you remember how season 3 ended? The Alexander Kirk reveal could change the entire structure and history of the show, provided of course that he was being truthful. (We’re always one to be skeptical on these sort of things.)
The immediate challenge of season 4 could be getting Liz Keen away from him, and this could be where Reddington comes into play! Time will tell, but we at least have an indication that we’re going to be getting to the next phase of the offseason process soon.
We’ve heard from multiple sources now that season 4 will start filming on July 20, which does seem about right given that many other shows are also starting up filming around now. Also, you’ve got photographic evidence from Diego Klattenhoff (Ressler) that he is in New York ready to start up production. Filming of course is a long and pretty arduous process, but luckily this cast in particular does seem to enjoy it. Filming will likely continue until the spring, and obviously what makes this particular season all the more exciting is that you’ve got the eight-episode spin-off “The Blacklist: Redemption” happening at some point over the course of the year. Personally, we’d advocate for it airing during the airing hiatus for the flagship show. Time will tell if that happens.
Trust us: Once more news from filming is revealed, we’ll have it for you here!
