‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 5 video: Another look at ‘Cashed Out’

“Major Crimes” season 5 certainly seems to be firing off on all cylinders so far when it comes to presenting a wide array of different cases. We’ve seen dead bodies in pools, investigations into old cases, and also a mission that involved the FBI. Part of the challenge with this show is coming up with a way to continue to surprise viewers, and for a few minutes on Monday night’s “Cashed Out,” you may think that you are watching “Bones.”

In the sneak peek below, you can see a case that begins with the discovery of old bones, and what unfolds from here could have some shocking implications. We’re gonna be honest here: While this promo is exciting and action-packed, it doesn’t do the best job of actually selling the episode in the way that some others have for TNT over the years. The biggest takeaway from this is that this will be a thrill ride, and one that challenges Major Crimes on more than just a physical level.

Based on some of the information that is out there already, we do know that this case is going to test specifically Julio Sanchez as he looks into becoming a foster parent. One of the great things about this season in particular is that it has done a great job balancing out the personal stories with the cases, and that is a tradition that will hopefully continue down the road. After all, we know some great stuff is coming for Rusty in due time….
