‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 18: See Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T out filming

The new season of “Law & Order: SVU” just began filming in New York City, and if you’ve got a thirst to see the first photo of the cast in action, rest assured that we’ve got it for you below!

The link HERE from Ice-T’s Twitter account gives you a sense of both himself and co-star Mariska Hargitay out filming in Central Park, which at least gives you a sense of one of the locations for the new season. It shouldn’t be a shock that the team is doing at least some work out in the field, given that this is the sort of thing that we do tend to see happen on an almost-episode-by-episode basis.

As for what they’re doing there, we don’t think it takes a lot to guess “working a case.” The nature of this case is more of the mystery, but it’s nice that both Benson and Fin will be there! At this point these two are the anchors of the series, and provide so much of the emotional heart and nostalgia.

As we get closer to new episodes of the show airing, we have to assume NBC will release a few more details along the way. After all, it’s not like them to leave us hanging forever! We’re just at the point in production right now where these are the sort of behind-the-scenes teases that we tend to get more so than anything else. They at least give you a sense that new episodes are on the horizon!
