‘Blindspot’ season 2 and more Mayfair reactions

The second season of “Blindspot” will be getting an earlier start than many other NBC series thanks to the Olympics starting next month, and hopefully thanks to this, we will not have to wait as long to get some answers to key questions.

For one, we still have the aftermath about what really happened to Mayfair to still sort through, and it’s going to be very much hard on Patterson to figure all of that out! This is something that Ashley Johnson teased further to Entertainment Weekly with the following statement:

“Once they really find out the truth, it’s going to be very hard on Patterson, because she’s the person Patterson has always looked up to and respected … It’s hard for Patterson to make adjustments. It’s going to be hard for her in many ways, and she loves Mayfair, so it’s going to be tough.”

Will Patterson move on? Certainly so, but she will not forget what happened, as these sort of events do have a tendency of remaining with people, even if they are in a world where death does seem like such an inevitability. There are likely going to be some other characters who go over the course of the new season, so we just have to prepare for that, as well. Let’s just hope that they are not any regulars who we’ve come to know since the very beginning.

As for what else is coming in season 2, be prepared for some more tangible answers on Jane’s past than ever before. Let’s just hope that in the process, they set up some pretty great mythology.
