‘Aquarius’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Changes — and a showdown
For those of you excited to see what the future holds over on NBC’s “Aquarius,” rest assured that we are right there with you. Unfortunately, you will be waiting for a little while to see said future play out over on NBC.
So why in the world is the show waiting until July 28 for there to be another new episode? The answer here is as simple as “blame the Republican National Convention.” Due to that event taking place, much of the network’s lineup is being somewhat superseded by special coverage. Interestingly, though, there are no interruptions as a result of the Democratic National Convention, at least when it comes to this show and some others like “The Night Shift.”
One other interesting thing to consider here schedule-wise for “Aquarius,” beyond that it is airing at an earlier time on July 28 in 9:00 p.m. Eastern, is that NBC has the Olympics looming. Don’t you think that could in theory have an impact on things, as well?
In terms of the story you can expect to see over the course of the next episode when the show does return, it can really be summed up in one word: Showdown. Things will get surprising, violent, and potentially even catastrophic. With the show’s ratings being what they are, we hope that most of the crucial storytelling the show wants to achieve happens over the course of the coming weeks. Otherwise, you do run the risk of there being a fairly unsatisfying ending as a whole.
