‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: ’24’ alum poised to be Morpheus
Morpheus is coming to “Once Upon a Time” this coming season, even if it is not the Morpheus you first picture in your head.
As you probably guessed since this is an ABC show, we are not talking about the character from “The Matrix.” Instead, Entertainment Weekly reports that “24” and “NCIS” alum Giles Matthey is going to appear as a character otherwise known from being a god of dreams in Greek mythology. He is intuitive and potentially a huge asset to some characters, but he also hides enough of himself that you should be forced to wonder what his true intentions may be.
Now, it may not take too much deep thought in order to figure out who among the characters on the show right now could be in the most use of a dream weaver: Belle. She is in deep slumber still, and Rumpelstiltskin is doing what he can in order to figure out a way to cure her of the sleeping curse she is under. Maybe Morpheus can help? He is at least someone with the capacity to help, but whether or not he actually succeeds in said goal is something that remains to be seen.
Morpheus is one of many characters coming on board the series thanks to the Land of Untold Stories twist, something that was first presented on the show during the final episodes of season 5. Mr. Hyde effectively opened up a completely new world of characters to Storybrooke, and this in turn could provide the show with a distinct season 1 feel.
