‘Hell on Wheels’ season 5, episode 13 video: The race to the end
This weekend’s new episode of “Hell on Wheels” is just about upon us, and this one is a little more significant than most. After all, it is the penultimate one of the series, as we continue to move closer and closer to the finish line and the Union and Central Pacific Railroads meeting.
As these two railroads to prepare to be joined up, be prepared to see many different prizes at stake, whether it be control of valuable land to bragging rights. There will be a race against time between the two companies, and the sneak peek below gives you a sense as to just how intense it is. Bodies are falling, exhaustion is setting in, and yet Durant is still doing his part to push the Union Pacific to work faster and harder than ever before.
Who will make it there first is really not so much what is important about this weekend’s story, especially in the face of many other matters of great importance for these characters. How people like Cullen Bohannon and Mickey react to the end of the railroad is paramount to the way in which this story ends, especially since this has become a major part of their lives. People like Cullen are referred to as “railroad men,” so what happens when that identity is stripped from them? They cannot simply live based on legacy through the rest of their days, and they have to find a new thing to stake a claim on.
Tomorrow night, we’ll be back with a review, and a precise breakdown on everything that we have a chance to see.
