Aaron Rodgers sits down with Bill Simmons; could brother Jordan, ‘The Bachelorette’ come up?
Who would have imagined that one of the most-anticipated TV interviews in our mind moving forward was going to be a chance to hear Aaron Rodgers talk about his brother? It’s weird what we’ve come to as a TV-viewing nation, but this is it.
In a post on Twitter, Simmons confirmed that he would be sitting down with Aaron for an interview on his HBO show “Any Given Wednesday,” which will probably be, at least to a certain extent, about football. After all training camp is not too far away, and Simmons is best known for his work in sports. Yet, he’s also a pop-culture guy, and we know that he is very familiar with Bachelor Nation. Therefore, to not bring up “The Bachelorette” and Jordan Rodgers’ recent comments all about him would be a mistake. He’d get ripped for it, and we wonder in some way if Aaron specifically wanted to speak with someone who he could talk to about the subject without it turning into a tabloid cover story.
If we were Aaron, admittedly we’d feel rather odd about the whole situation to begin with. After all, you never aired out any dirty laundry on your family, and because of your brother, suddenly there is an expectation for you to do so. If you say nothing, everyone will eventually just accept his side of things. Here, Aaron can say what he wants, and then move on. We’d be shocked if he gets that nasty about it just because he’s a savvy guy and knows the best way to handle it is be classy and move on.
We should note once more that there’s no guarantee Jordan gets brought up here; we just don’t know if the timing would be what it is for any other reason.
We’ll have an update on this not too long after it happens. Stay tuned! Also, head over here to get some other news when it comes to “The Bachelorette,” or sign up over here to secure some other TV news on all we cover, sent right over to you via our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
