MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Emma’s carnival terrors

“Scream” on MTV loves to put its characters in dangerous situations; hey, if it didn’t, would it really be the same show? We’re voting “doubtful” on that one.

Moving into the next new episode, it certainly seems like the spotlight is going to be on Emma first and foremost as she undergoes a series of tests like no other. Also, they happen to be at a carnival, which we really think just adds to the overall danger. Check out the attached TV Guide synopsis for more as to precisely what she’s going to be going through (it doesn’t look good):

“The killer forces Emma through a gauntlet of not-so-fun games during the Lakewood Days Carnival; and Brooke launches an attack on the entire town.”

When it comes to Brooke’s plan, isn’t that something that really needs to be seen before it can be properly described?

In terms of other things we’re interested in seeing, what happens next in the aftermath of the fire? Also, how do we follow up the reveal about Branson? The only issue that the show maybe has going forward is that they have given themselves so many different cliffhangers, it’s hard to know precisely which directly is the right way for them to go since all of them could be effective.

For those of you who do watch the show for the scares, though, we do have a feeling that you will get your fill of that and then some thanks to some of what you see with Emma.
