Logo orders ‘Bachelor’-inspired dating show, hosted by Lance Bass
We know that there are many people out there who have wanted to see a “Bachelor” style show for the LGBTQ community, and while there have certainly been a few takes on the format here and there, few have really captured what made the original so interesting.
Luckily, a network we trust in Logo is now giving it a go. The network is set to air later this year “Finding Prince Charming,” and the description of it (per TVLine) suggests that it will “include 13 charming and gorgeous suitors, all housed together, who compete to win the heart of one of the nation’s most eligible gay heartthrobs. The sexy suitors grapple to stand out from the crowd all hoping for a moment of intimate connection, romance and, perhaps, true love. One by one, the suitors are eliminated until the heartthrob chooses one ideal man to sweep him off of his feet and commit to an exclusive relationship.”
The show will be hosted by Lance Bass, and what we do really like about it is that there is no sort of silly twist that will take the show away from what it’s really all about: Romance. Sure, you do want some fighting and drama in there (this is reality TV, after all), but at the same time you want to have a hope that the people at the end of it will get together and be happy.
Logo already has success in the reality TV universe with “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” so we certainly have some confidence that they can pull off another established it, as well. We’ll see what happens.
