‘Blue Bloods’ season 7 casts ‘Fuller House’ actress, more for premiere
Last week, the glorious news first broke that “Blue Bloods” was retaining Tom Selleck for the upcoming seventh season, and now we know a thing or two more about who is coming aboard.
According to Entertainment Weekly, “Fuller House” (and by extension “Full House”) actress Lori Loughlin has been cast in the role of Grace on the CBS crime procedural. She is a widow of a deceased New York City police officer, and in turn puts Frank into a bind when she wants him to convince her son to not become a cop. This could be a fairly harrowing story when you consider the present-day climate towards police officers in general. Some of these topical subjects have already been addressed on recent episodes of the show, but we imagine within this world that they are going to be brought up and focused on even more so than they have been to date.
The site also reports that fresh off of some guests stints on “Hawaii Five-0,” Michael Imperioli is going to guest star as Miller, an employee of the Attorney General’s office who is going to look into the way Danny handled the Thomas Wilder case. We’re sure this was a matter that Danny wanted to put behind him, but we have to say that we are personally quite glad to see it rising to the surface once more. This is a show that benefits from having more serialized elements here and there.
We suppose that with the latter casting, it’s become more and more clear that (sob) this show is not set in the same universe as many of the other CBS crime procedurals, unless Imperioli is playing magic doppelgangers or something.
