‘Ballers’ season 2 trailer: What lies ahead for Dwayne Johnson, cast

Ballers -The second season of “Ballers” is coming your way on HBO Sunday night, and based on the new trailer below, there is a heck of a lot to look forward to when it comes to the story.

For the sake of this article, let’s start by setting up what happened at the end of season 1. Rickey Jerret had made some peace with his teammates, though he was running into a few issues with his father. Meanwhile, Charles Greene had successfully made a comeback into the NFL with the Miami Dolphins. Spencer Strasmore was a key component in both guys’ successes, but it came about after a lengthy tightrope act. He considered going it alone with Joe with their separate company, but eventually opted against it over fears that they weren’t quite ready. They have more resources than ever moving into season 2 thanks to a new promotion, but does that mean anything when you’re swimming in shark-infested waters?

It’s been set up on a few different occasions already, but the biggest threat to Spencer’s empire in season 2 appears to be the new character played by Andy Garcia, who has a history with Spencer and could be out to make him look very silly for the sake of his own gain. Aside from this, some of his other athletes could find some rather unique ways to find trouble for themselves. Specifically, it appears as though Ricky is going to want more money and respect, but we question how easy he will find either of those given that he is a player entering the later part of his career and his relationship with his teammates is already well-documented.

If you haven’t seen it, you got a few days to catch up! Dwayne Johnson is magnetic as Spencer, and it could be well worth your time if you’re either a fan of his or sports in general.
