‘MasterChef’ season 7, episode 7 exclusive preview: The great steak debate

There is another new episode of “MasterChef” airing on Fox Wednesday night, and for the latest exclusive sneak peek here at CarterMatt, we’re putting the focus primarily on the subject of steak.

In the latest team challenge, the remaining home cooks are going to do their best to honor the men and women of the military by serving them one of the greatest meals possible. For the Blue Team, that involves steak as a primary component. Apparently, Shaun has a marinade involving honey that he does “all the time” at home. However, this is a marinade that Gordon Ramsay questions, since it makes the steaks far too easy to burn when they are on the grill.

Brandi is clearly flustered in the sneak peek (see below) by the task, and feels as though it is impossible to do things precisely to Shaun’s specifications. He, however, still feels like it’s possible, even with Gordon’s own metaphorical grilling in mind. We’re willing to give Shaun the benefit of the doubt somewhat in the challenge, given that he showed great leadership the last time there was a team challenge on the show. Still, don’t you have to question something if one of the judges says it’s a bad idea?

We’ll find out Wednesday whether or not Shaun makes his team sink or swim. While things aren’t looking great for the Blue Team now, we’ve learned over the years that this is not the sort of issue that is guaranteed to doom a team.
