‘BrainDead’ spoilers: Laurel and Gareth are brought closer together
After taking a week off for the Fourth of July, “BrainDead” will be returning to CBS with an all-new episode tonight! With that, we’re happy to get into discussing a little bit more in terms of what is coming up this season.
For example, who knew that a bug disaster could bring people closer together? Odd as that may seem, that is what’s happening with Laurel and Gareth moving into the July 25 installment entitled “Notes Toward A Post-Reagan Theory Of Party Alliance, Tribalist, And Loyalty: Past As Prologue.” As the synopsis makes it clear, the infestation is specifically the reason why it happens:
“Laurel and Gareth are drawn unexpectedly closer as the bug infestation continues to take over Washington, D.C. Also, when the Center for Disease Control has its funding temporarily cut, Luke attempts to reach a compromise to have the money reinstated, but Red’s political machinations undermine him at every turn.”
Here’s the bummer: They’re still not exactly showing how in the world the bug storyline will come to a close. Granted, it is expected to be some sort of season-long thing, and even then, who knows if there are going to be answers handed down? For those of you who watch the show for the politics of it all, let it be known that there will be some content on that subject in here at all. In some ways “BrainDead” is two separate shows rolled into one; it doesn’t always work, but when it does it’s certainly entertaining.
