‘Sherlock’ season 4 Comic-Con panel confirmed
May we find out more news about “Sherlock” later this month? It is certainly possible, now that it is officially known that the show is heading to San Diego Comic-Con!
Today, it was announced (see the tweet HERE) that the BBC sensation will be back for another go of things at the convention. Not only that, but it has prime real estate in Hall H, and it will take place on Sunday, July 24. Even the moderator in Chris Hardwick is one of the best ones you can hope for.
There is a reason that Amanda Abbington (Mary), Mark Gatiss (co-creator, Mycroft), Steven Moffat (co-creator), and Sue Vertue (executive producer) are the for people highlighted in that image on Twitter, as they are the four who will be taking part in the presentation. It’s possible that there will be surprises, but don’t show up expecting to see Benedict Cumberbatch rushing in. Personally, it’s thrilling alone to simply have a panel to begin with.
To date, the only think known about season 4 is that there will be a season 4, and people like Toby Jones are in the guest cast. Moffat and company have kept all story secrets in the wake of “The Abominable Bride” as much of a secret as possible. Maybe there will be a teaser, some other casting announcements, or possibly a premiere date announcement … though we would be surprised especially by the latter. Typically British shows have a habit of waiting until a couple of weeks before the season begins to announce anything substantial, so it would be a surprise if something different were to occur here.
