‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: The Land of Untold Stories and expansion
What stories have not been told from the fairy-tale universe on “Once Upon a Time“? It may come as a surprise, but apparently quite a few of them! We’re on the horizon of something called “The Land of Untold Stories” for a reason. Whether it be Sinbad or many of the other characters we’re set to meet, the introduction to these people (thanks in part to the actions of Mr. Hyde) is going to be a huge part of season 6.
As it turns out, this idea has deep roots with the series. Executive producer Edward Kitsis tells Entertainment Weekly that thematically, you can go all the way back to the pilot for more on the subject:
“What’s funny is in the pilot if you watch when Emma sees the wolf that stops her from leaving town, the book flips open and we see all these worlds … It’s time to tell new stories, broaden the show and move forward.”
You may have heard already that this season will feel more like the early ones. Specifically, the story-of-the-week element could be there along with some larger mythologies. Given where we are at this point, it makes since. Closure was offered for many thanks to the Underworld last season, so this is a chance to explore some new avenues while keeping some traditional ones open. After all, just remember here that you do still have a huge Regina cliffhanger to address. Some stories for other cast members may reveal themselves over time. That is typically how it works.
