TV Quick Hits: ‘Ray Donovan’ season 3 casting; ‘Hunters’ canceled; ‘American Crime’ scoop
“Ray Donovan” casting news – While season 3 may be on the air already, there’s still time for casting reveals!
According to a report from Deadline, Jake Hoffman (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) will be appearing in at least one episode. Specifically, he will take on the role of Instagram star Jack Raleigh, a man who also has a history in Las Vegas. He’s a noted gambler, and he will be involved somehow with the Mickey storyline.
New episodes of “Ray Donovan,” while you wait, will continue to air on Showtime Sunday night. As for some other news of the day.
“Hunters” canceled – While Syfy has been doing better as of late when it comes to keeping shows on the air, it didn’t help “Hunters.” The drama from earlier this year has been canceled after one season, with ratings being the reason why. After looking at them, this one is not too hard to figure out: The numbers were bad. They fell below network averages, and a poor reception from critics in the end did not help matters.
“American Crime” season 3 scoop – In closing, let’s head over to the hit ABC anthology. We know that Regina King and Felicity Huffman are returning, and now Richard Cabral will join them. There is no word on who he will play, but the reasons for his return are easy to figure out. This is one of the strongest, most socially-conscious series out there, there are always more topics worthy of being tackled.
The new season of “American Crime” will premiere at some point next year. Until then, there is probably more casting news coming.
