‘Criminal Minds’ season 12: The first table read is here!

For those of you chomping at the bit for “Criminal Minds” news, rest assured that the next milestone is here! As the official Twitter of the production office reveals, the first table read is now underway. This is a chance for the cast to see each other once more, and dive into the full script. It’s one of many steps on the way to filming.

Some early speculation on new season

Filming for this show will take place, off and on, now until spring; the only remaining questions revolve around the story. You also have the question of guest actors. We know Adam Rodriguez is now a series regular, and hopefully, some other names will be reported soon.

Story-wise, Season 12 will pick up hopefully not long after season 11, given so many UnSubs are on the run. Mr. Scratch is one of the confirmed names for now.

Meanwhile, other than Shemar Moore, the majority of the cast from last season is confirmed. We’re still waiting on some recurring players. Given that we are so far into the show’s run, there is a nice assembly of people who could turn up. The options are at least there.

Hopefully in general, we’ll get a nice mixture of intense cases mixed with strong, compelling personal drama. “Criminal Minds” is always best when that mixture is there, and when the result of it is unexpected. The season will premiere in several months, and there will be more updates along the way.
