‘Wayward Pines’ season 2 finale spoilers: First look at a showdown

As we get further and further into this season of “Wayward Pines,” one thing is going to be clear: The battle between humanity and the Abbies is not going to be slowing down in any form. As a matter of fact, it could even accelerate until we get to the finale.

We have for you below the first details on the subject of “Bedtime Story,” the upcoming June 27 episode that will mark the conclusion of this story. Specifically, the synopsis below makes it clear that everything could be at stake as Theo figures out what he wants to do about the potential onslaught coming up:

“As the Abbies descend upon the town, Theo is forced to make a decision that could seal humanity’s fate.”

Of course, that is not the most informative synopsis in the world, but we figure that it was designed like this for one reason and one reason only: To keep things as under wraps as possible for as long as they can. We’re going to have plenty of time moving forward presumably to get into further detail, and of course we will be wondering whether or not this show will earn a season 3. For the time being, we would consider the series to be very much on the bubble based on where some of the recent ratings lie.

We certainly do know that this show lives within a world where crazy things can happen at almost any moment. After all, just remember here that we lost Megan on this most-recent episode of the show.
